The Community Weave-Up
Lauched in September 2024, The Bristol Weaving Mill's Community Weave-Up project offers an affordable solution to small-batch woven production.

Taking inspiration from the wine cooperatives model of France, this project harnesses collective interest and economies of scale to produce affordable, small-batch woven blankets.

We invite anyone interested with small quantities of yarn to get in touch. Each individual will receive woven blankets made using their own yarn in the weft. To make this possible, affordable, and sustainable, the project uses a collective warp made from deadstock British Wool yarn from our own shelves.

We are accepting orders throughout February and March 2025. The first batch warp will be on-loom in May 2025, with finished blankets delivered in July and August 2025.
